
The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has announced the official fare for the 2025 pilgrimage (2025 Hajj).
The announcement was made under the leadership of the Commission’s Chairman, Professor Abdullahi Saleh Usman, following approval by the Office of the Vice President.
A statement signed by the Assistant Director, Information and Publication to the NAHCON Chairman, Fatima Sanda Usara, on January 20, said the fare for intending pilgrims was categorised by region.
Pilgrims from the Borno and Adamawa zone are expected to pay ₦8,327,125.59; those from the Southern states will pay ₦8,784,085.59, while intending pilgrims from the Northern zone will pay ₦8,457,685.59.
“The cost of 2025 Hajj for intending pilgrims from Southern states is N8, 784, 085.59 (eight million, seven hundred and eighty-four thousand, eighty-five Naira Naira fifty-nine kobo),” the statement said.
“Intending pilgrims from the Northern zone will pay N8, 457,685.59 (eight million, four hundred and fifty-seven thousand, six hundred and eighty-five Naira fifty-nine kobo),” it said.
NAHCON added that the fares were determined after extensive consultations with stakeholders to accommodate the interests of all parties.
It advised prospective pilgrims to adhere to the set timelines for payments and registration, while also emphasising the need to comply with Saudi Arabian guidelines to avoid complications.
The statement encouraged intending pilgrims seeking more details on the breakdown of the fare and other information to visit the NAHCON website at nahcon.gov.ng or contact their respective State Pilgrims’ Welfare Boards.
