The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) on Monday directed all candidates who uploaded their O’level results before the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) released the final 2025 Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) results to revisit accredited centres and re-upload their results.
JAMB said it had cleared all previously uploaded results from its system to prevent discrepancies and ensure that only the official WAEC final results are used for admission processing.
“JAMB has dropped all previously uploaded results to allow candidates to upload the WAEC SSCE final results,” the Board said in its weekly news bulletin on Monday.
“Please re-upload your 2025 SSCE result to the JAMB portal without delay to be eligible for admission consideration,” it said.
According to JAMB, the move became necessary to avoid any confusion because many candidates who sat for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) using awaiting results began uploading the WAEC 2025 SSCE results before the final results were released. It therefore cleared all prior uploads, requiring all candidates to now re-upload their results.
It emphasised that only the final WAEC SSCE results would be recognised in the 2025 admission process and candidates who fail to comply risk being excluded from consideration.
“Some candidates who sat for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) with ‘awaiting results’ had prematurely uploaded incomplete WAEC records before the final release,” JAMB said.
“To address the issue, JAMB has mandated a fresh upload for every candidate, irrespective of whether the new results differ from those uploaded earlier.
“All UTME candidates are advised to urgently re-upload their 2025 SSCE results on the JAMB portal to remain eligible for admission consideration,” it said.
Recall that WAEC had initially released the 2025 WASSCE results on August 4 which showed an alarming poor performance of candidates. After an internal review, however, WAEC reported a glitch that affected the earlier results. It then updated its portal with the corrected results and asked candidates to access them.
