Nigerian-American songwriter, singer, rapper, producer and music mogul, THEBB02, has released a remake of his 2024 single, ‘Benin Man’.
‘Benin Man’, released under his Bigmanity Music label, tells the story of the singer’s origin and how he represents this origin wherever he goes and in whatever he does.
Subtitled ‘Ovbie Edo’, the song mixes English, Pidgin (which is prominently spoken in Edo and the South-South region of Nigeria), and a sprinkling of Benin language.
THEBB02 (real name Jesse Adesotu Woghiren) was born and raised in Benin City before he moved with his family to the United States of America in his late teenage years.
