MRS Oil Nigeria Plc has reduced the price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), commonly known as petrol, in all its stations across all regions in Nigeria.
MRS announced these new petrol prices via its official X (formerly Twitter) account on Monday. The company disclosed that regional pump prices would be set at N935 per litre in the South West, N925 in Lagos, N945 in the North, and N955 in the East.
“The prices may vary, but one thing stays the same—we give you high-quality fuel that keeps your engine running at its best,” MRS said in the post.
“If you notice any station selling above the listed price, we’re just a call or email away,” the company added.
MRS urged marketers to ensure the petrol prices reduction benefits Nigerians, supporting the economic revival led by President Bola Tinubu’s administration.
Dangote Petroleum Refinery had earlier reduced its ex-depot price of petrol from N950 to N890 following a decline in international crude oil prices and other favourable global energy sector trends.
The Group’s Chief Branding and Communications Officer, Anthony Chiejina, said on February 1 that the reduction would significantly lower the cost of petrol across the country, generating a positive ripple effect throughout the broader economy.
“Dangote Petroleum Refinery firmly believes that this reduction from N950 to N890 will result in a meaningful decrease in the cost of petrol nationwide, thereby driving down the prices of goods and services, as well as the overall cost of living, with a positive ripple effect on various sectors of the economy,” Chiejina stated.
