Napoli Sporting Director, Giovanni Manna, has said Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen will not be leaving the Turkish side Galatasaray until the end of the season.

Victor Osimhen joined Galatasaray from Napoli in a long-term loan after long controversies with other big clubs. He was hoping to move to Premier League sides Arsenal or Chelsea, but they failed to bring a satisfactory offer for the 26-year-old.

Osimhen’s shocking move to Galatasaray was the biggest transfer event that happened in Turkish football history. The event occurred because he was dropped from the Napoli squad, forcing him to make a move to have a better game play.

So far, Osimhen has contributed 13 goals and five assists in 16 appearances for the Lions.

In the past two months, the Nigerian has been linked to Old Trafford. Manchester United have been working to get papers signed with Osimhen so he can fit into Ruben Amorim’s style of play.

As it stands, it appears that any club looking for the signature of Victor Osimhen should wait till the end of the season. The Nigerian has told the Napoli Chief that he’s happy with Galatasaray and he wants to play until the end of the season.
