The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has officially announced that the draw for the 2024 African Nations Championship (CHAN 2024) will take place on Wednesday, January 15, 2025 at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre in Nairobi, Kenya. The draw is scheduled for 20:00 local time (17:00 GMT / 19:00 Cairo time).

The eagerly awaited tournament, uniquely reserved for African players competing in their domestic leagues, will be co-hosted by Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania from February 1 to 28, 2025.

Among the nations participating are several African football powerhouses, including the reigning champions Senegal. The Senegalese team claimed their first CHAN title two years ago in Algiers, defeating the 2022 hosts Algeria in a thrilling final.

This year’s CHAN is expected to maintain the tradition of being a vibrant showcase of African football talent and a platform for emerging stars. One such talent, 21-year-old Lamine Camara, has risen to global fame since his breakout performance at CHAN 2022. He was recently recognized as the Young Player of the Year at the 2024 CAF Awards.

As the countdown to the draw begins, the stage is set for another exciting chapter in African football.
